4FACT Customer Support Policy

This service policy applies only to genuine 4FACT products purchased within South Korea.
For other countries or regions, please refer to the local service policy.

Notice: Only products purchased through 4FACT’s official sales channels are covered under this policy.
(Products from unofficial distributors, second-hand transactions, group purchases, giveaways, or resellers are not eligible for warranty service.)

I. Service Coverage

  • Peripheral Devices
  • Other Components

Applicable Channels: 4FACT official website, official online store, authorized distributors, and official offline retail stores.

II. Service Details

Free Warranty Service

- The warranty period for the main product (excluding consumables) is 1 year from the date of purchase.
Issues related to quality, performance, or function under normal use are eligible for free service.

- Consumables refer to components that naturally wear out or are prone to damage through normal use,
such as batteries, speakers, microphones, and brackets.
These items have separate warranty terms.

- Consumable Warranty Periods

  • Battery: Eligible for replacement if performance degradation exceeds 40% within 1 year of purchase.
  • Speakers, microphones, and other non-main-unit components: 1 month from purchase.

- Initial Defects
If the main product shows defects within 1 month of purchase, it is considered an initial defect.
After inspection and confirmation by 4FACT, a replacement will be provided.
(Please note that the product may be opened during the inspection process.)

Shipping costs for initial defects are covered by 4FACT.

- After 1 Month From Purchase
Free warranty service continues for the remaining 11 months (repair or part replacement only; consumables excluded)

- Warranty periods are based on the purchase date; usage time or frequency cannot be used as verification.

- Handwritten receipts are not accepted due to the possibility of forgery.

- If a product cannot be repaired or replaced due to discontinuation, a product of equivalent class—or a higher-grade product designated by 4FACT—will be provided.

- After the first month from purchase, round-trip shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

- Loaner devices or replacement units during repair are not provided.
* 4FACT is not responsible for any loss or inconvenience during the repair period.

- If the same issue reoccurs within the warranty period and within 1 month of the previous repair, shipping costs are covered by 4FACT
* A 3-month warranty applies for the identical issues after repair.

Paid Service (Out-of-Warranty)

- Paid service applies in the following cases:

No proof of purchase

More than 1 year has passed since purchase

Minor damage due to user negligence

Damage resulting from regular wear and tear

If proof of purchase cannot be provided, the product's manufacturing date determines warranty eligibility

If discontinued models cannot be repaired, they may be exchanged for a refurbished product designated by 4FACT.
Refurbished replacements include a 6-month warranty.

If the same issue reoccurs within 1 month after a paid repair, 4FACT will cover return shipping.
A 3-month warranty applies for identical issues.

IV. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not apply if:

  • The product has been sold or transferred to a third party
  • The product has been disassembled, repaired, or modified without authorization
  • Damage is caused by user negligence or intentional misuse
  • Damage is caused by water, fire, or natural disasters
  • The reported defect cannot be reproduced by 4FACT; the product may be returned, and round-trip shipping will be charged

VI. In-Person and Additional Repair Services

  • On-site service at the 4FACT headquarters is available by appointment.
    Depending on the issue, same-day repairs may not be possible.
  • After 1 month from purchase, shipping fees apply.
  • Customers must ensure proper packaging when sending items; 4FACT is not responsible for damage during shipping.
  • Products containing storage media may be formatted or reset during repair. Please back up important data beforehand.
  • Quick delivery (courier) service fees are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Missing customer information (name, contact number, address) may delay processing or result in return shipping.
  • If a non-4FACT product is sent by mistake, round-trip shipping will be charged.

VII. Legal Notice

This policy complies with the Consumer Basic Act of the Republic of Korea and related regulations.
4FACT's liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

    Consent to the Collection and Use of Personal Information
    4FACT Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) values your personal information and complies with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. Through its Privacy Policy, the Company informs you of how your personal information is used and protected, as well as the measures taken to safeguard your data.

    1. Purpose of Collecting Personal Information

    The Company collects only the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide its website services. Personal information will never be used for any purpose other than those specified above. If the purpose or use of collected personal information changes, the Company will obtain prior consent from the user.

    2. Items Collected, Retention, and Usage Period

    • ① Items Collected: Name, home phone number, home address, contact number, email, company name
    • ② Methods of Collection: Website visit request forms, customer inquiry board submissions, event/giveaway participation
    (2) The Company obtains the user’s consent prior to collecting any personal information.
    (3) In principle, once the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved, the Company destroys the information without delay. However, when retention is required by law, the Company stores the information as follows:
    • ① Items Retained: Name, home phone number, home address, contact number, email, company name
    • ② Legal Basis: Internal Visitor Access Regulations; Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection
    • ③ Retention Period: 5 years

    3. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information

    The Company does not provide personal information to external parties without consent. However, exceptions apply in the following cases:
    • ① When the user has given prior consent
    • ② When required by law or requested by investigative authorities following legal procedures
    • ③ When minimal information is required to provide customer services
    • ④ When used for statistical analysis, academic research, or market surveys, provided the data is anonymized and cannot identify individuals

    4. Rights of Users and Legal Guardians & How to Exercise Them

    • ⅰ) The Company obtains consent from a legal guardian when collecting information from children under 14 years of age.
    • ⅱ) When a user requests correction or deletion of their personal information, the Company will take action without delay.
    • ⅲ) Until corrections are completed, the Company will not use or provide the incorrect information. If such information has already been shared, the Company will immediately notify the relevant third party.
    Deleted personal information is processed according to the retention and usage periods defined in this policy and cannot be accessed or used for any other purpose.
    * Methods for requesting deletion: Email, fax, or phone.

    5. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

    The Company does not outsource personal information processing to external parties without prior consent. If outsourcing becomes necessary in the future, users will be notified in advance and consent will be obtained when required.

    6. Network Security

    The Company maintains secure systems including dual firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Regular and ad-hoc security inspections and consulting are conducted through the Company’s server provider.

    7. Internal Security Measures

    The Company limits access to personal information to the minimum number of authorized personnel and provides periodic security training. All personal information is stored in encrypted databases, and customer information servers are fully isolated from external networks.
